I finally managed to spring clean the entire long raised bed. This is where I currently have raspberries, strawberries and garlic planted. Next I need to add some straw in between to stop more weeds from growing.
I also managed to build a quick support for the raspberries. I need to eventually cut and remove all the dead branches from last year, but I will that a bit later after I can tell for sure what is dead and what is alive.
The first strawberry fruit of the season
This is the second handful, a few days later.
These are the very first strawberries that ripened. They were delicious!

The fruit of the labor..
We have been getting a bowl of strawberries every 2 - 3 days or so. They are sweet and delicious.
Not as large as the store bought ones, but most definitely better tasting. Maybe because we grew them.
The strawberries are towards the end of the season but we are also getting a handful of raspberries, first time ever. There will likely be many more next year.
The plants are thick and vigorous but the fruiting is mostly done.
